Government employees can expense ride sharing

Is your business travel and expense system slower than government? Well if you don’t have a policy that allows modern riding sharing services like Uber & Lyft, you better think about updating soon. Called the “Modernizing Government Travel Act“, it officially allows US Government employees to use and be reimbursed for ride sharing services. The GSA is now responsible for implementing the new law into a travel policy. You can access the US Government’s GSA Travel Policy here if you are inclined but your average corporate travel policy might be structured a little differently.

Using services like Uber or Lyft over traditional taxi has many benefits. They are less expensive and generally offer a better user experience. In most locations, ordering Uber/Lyft is much faster then order a taxi via phone.
